Roentgen X-Ray tube (P-8696)
Consists of cathode ray tube. Cathode rays from cathode are allowed to fall on a high density, high atomic weight material say, Tungsten. Under reflection the cathode rays are converted into x-rays. Works on 10 cm spark gap induction coil. The x-rays produced are soft x-ray but must be prohibited for over exposure. Comprises a glass sphere with concave disc electrode generating cathode rays and focus on a tungsten target placed at 45° angle, at the inner end of arm exactly opposite. Dia of Tube : 80mm, 90mm, 110mm

Magnetic Effect Deflection (P-8713)
Running cathode rays are visible to naked eye by glowing path on fluorescent screen. The deflection of the cathode rays under magnetic field may be demonstrated easily by moving magnet across the same.

Rectilinear Propagation (P-8715)
V shaped tube. To show cathode rays are generated only vertical (lower electrode) irrespective of the anode points (any of two electrodes above).

Heating Effect Wax Coating (P-8719)
When cathode rays are focused on wax coated on the outside of the upper round head of cathode ray tube, the wax melts quickly showing heat generated by cathode rays.

Shadow Effect (Maltese Cross) (P-8721)
When the cross is placed in the path of the cathode rays, a sharp shadow is formed. Its sharpness is an indication that the rays are emitted from the cathode in a definite direction and not like from a luminous surface in all direction. It shows that the cathode rays travels in straight line.
