Thermal Conductivity Apparatus Lee’s and Chorlton's (P-2415)
To determine thermal conductivity of bad conductors in form of thin layers. It comprises of cylindrical slab of brass 87 cm x 12 mm (Dia x thickness), resting on it is a 5 cm deep hollow cylinder of the same diameter with inlet and outlet tubes for steam; both having radial holes, for the thermometers. Material under test is placed in between two cylinders. Apparatus suspended by strings attached to the lower cylinder from Iron ring 125 mm diameter on retort stand with rectangular base 220 x 140 mm and rod 600 mm long. Complete with one each disc, specimens of glass, plastic annulus 3mm thick for determining conductivity of liquids.
