Searle’s Thermal Conductivity of Copper Apparatus (P-2405)
Comprising copper bar 300 x 25 mm (L x D), one end of which has steam chamber connected with inlet and outlet tubes, other end having spiral tube for a water to flow through. Two thermometer support tubes 75 mm apart, fixed to the surface of the bar allows measurement of temperature of a bar. Temperature at inlet and outlet of water is also measured. The whole apparatus has insulating bed surroundings and mounted in a case with removable front. Supplied without thermometers.

Thermal Conductivity Apparatus Lee’s and Chorlton's (P-2415)
To determine thermal conductivity of bad conductors in form of thin layers. It comprises of cylindrical slab of brass 87 cm x 12 mm (Dia x thickness), resting on it is a 5 cm deep hollow cylinder of the same diameter with inlet and outlet tubes for steam; both having radial holes, for the thermometers. Material under test is placed in between two cylinders. Apparatus suspended by strings attached to the lower cylinder from Iron ring 125 mm diameter on retort stand with rectangular base 220 x 140 mm and rod 600 mm long. Complete with one each disc, specimens of glass, plastic annulus 3mm thick for determining conductivity of liquids.

Steam Heater (P-2420)
Cylindrical copper vessel 180 x 100 mm (Ht x diameter) with filling tube, steam vent and vertical tube terminating in chute passing through side of the vessel. There is brass tube, sliding fit in the central tube to carry thermometer. Lower end is cut at an angle to seal the chute.

Ingen-Hauze's Apparatus (P-2465)
Consists of 5 metal rods of different materials having equal lenghts mounted in sheet metal box 150 x 90 x 100mm with corks. Rods are coated in paraffin wax when used and the rate of melting is compared by hot water put into the box.

Ingen-Hauze's Apparatus (P-2466)
Same as (P-2465) but rods are put in vertical position and tank is provided with legs, for heating the box when experiment is performed. Metal rods 150 x 3mm dia, one each Al, Brass, Copper, Glass and Iron. Tank size approx 210 x 75 x 75mm (l x w x h), legs height 170mm approx.

This is to demonstrate convection of heat in a liquid. Glass tube 20 mm O.D. bent into rectangle 360 x 200 mm, fitted with filling funnel, made of borosilicate glass.

Ventilation Apparatus, Convection In Air Apparatus (P-2490)
A rectangular metal box 220 x 75 x 75 mm (L x W x H), with sliding glass front and two openings on top to place glass chimneys. A candle holder fitted to base of box beneath the one chimney. Supplied without candle. Convection may be demonstrated by use of smoke from a string held close to the top of unheated chimney.
